Clicking the Show Desktop icon instantly minimizes all open windows and displays the desktop. In Windows 7, the Show Desktop icon is also displayed in the bottom right corner on the taskbar. The Quick Launch toolbar displays the Show Desktop icon. This can be of help if you don't recognize the icon.
